HashKey OTC is a digital asset exchange under HashKey Group, which aims to provide licensed digital asset trading services to global customers, mainly in Singapore.
The following guide is for individual users so that you can quickly understand the registration and KYC verification.
Important Notes:
Restricted Jurisdictions: Please be aware that HashKey OTC does not offer its products and services in certain jurisdictions, including the United States, Mainland China. Additionally, support for documents from some countries or regions may be currently unavailable.
Age Limit: Users under the age of 18 and over the age of 80 are not allowed to use HashKey OTC platform and cannot complete identity verification.
KYC Completion Time: The KYC process only takes approximately 8 minutes once all the correct documents and information have been submitted.
Step 1: Registration
- Prepare Your Email: Start by preparing a frequently used email address, which will be used for registration and verification purposes.
- Visit Our Registration Page: Switch the site region to OTC. Visit the HashKey OTC registration page and enter your email address.
- Complete the Registration Form: Follow the prompts to complete the registration form, including setting up a secure password.
Step 2: KYC (Know Your Customer) Verification
After successfully registering, the next step is to complete your KYC verification. This is crucial to ensure a secure trading environment for all users.
- Select Individual Identity Verification - Verify Now, and bind your mobile phone number.
- Prepare Your Identification Document: For this process, you will need a valid identification document. Please ensure that your identification documents remain valid for at least 3 months from the day you submit your KYC.
- Points to note regarding identity verification materials：
currently accepts only two types of documents, international standard passports, and government-approved ID documents. Please note the following when submitting your identification.
The document needs to be within the validity period.
The document must have a clear and complete barcode.
The selfie photo on the document must have clear features and outlines.
The content of the document needs to be clearly legible.
The ID must not have reflective spots or stains.
- Upload your identification documents :Before starting the verification process, you first need to upload your documents. Please upload the corresponding documents according to the country/region of issuance and the type of documents you selected, and ensure that the image is clear for quick verification.
- Facial Recognition: After uploading your identification documents, proceed to facial recognition. Ensure good lighting and clear sight using your camera. The system will guide you through the process. The verification is automatically completed upon a clear match with your ID.
- Proof of Address: Accepted documents include utility bills, government tax bills, or bank statements dated within the last three months, with the name matching your ID.
- Points to note regarding proof of address：
Documents must be issued within the last 3 months.
Must clearly show your full name and residential address.
The name on your address proof must exactly match the name on your identity document.
Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must provide a certified English translation.
Documents must be certified true copies (certified by a notary public, accountant, lawyer, etc.) unless submitting the original.
Acceptable Document Types: Utility bills (e.g., mobile phone, water, electricity, gas, landline telephone, home broadband, cable TV monthly statements), government tax bills, bank statements, statements from licensed securities firms or insurance companies, or any official documents issued by a government agency.
- Financial Information: After uploading your address proof, you'll need to enter your employment information and financial information. To ensure swift identity verification, answer all the questions as required in a comprehensive and genuine manner.
- Client Investment Risk Assessment Questionnaire：Fill out and complete the questionnaire.
- Digital Asset Knowledge Assessment：Fill out and complete the quiz.
- Agreement Signing: Carefully read through the Terms of Data Transfer Consent, Privacy Policy, Risk Declaration, Service Agreement, and sign your name.
- Upon receipt of all the required information and documents, HashKey OTC will review the submission and provide feedback to the applicants via email. Subject to the sufficiency of the information provided, HashKey OTC may ask for more supporting information.
Congratulations! Once you have completed these steps, you are all set to start trading on HashKey OTC.
